Isaiah 40
this week has been pretty rough. it’s been issue after issue and everything’s coming to a point where my plans on heading to OZ have come to a near halt… i’ve been bummed to say the least and after some brutally honest prayer God lead me to this particular chapter in Isaiah. we’re all pretty used to reading the last couple of verses but when i took the entire...

Beyond Powerful
For hours he sat in silence… enveloped in darkness. The lit scene of an idolatrous orgy registered only in the smells of sweaty bodies, incense offered to gods of gold and silver, charred flesh served with ripe fruits, fresh wine being emptied into goblet after goblet. The sounds of chants and incantations fill his ears, along with the laughter and cries of a philistine crowd. His once wild...

Jesus did not count heaven a place to be desired...
He left the heavenly courts for a life of reproach and insult, and a death of shame. He who was rich in heaven’s priceless treasure, became poor, that through His poverty we might be rich.

EPIC.
19Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, “Why could not we cast him out?”
20And Jesus said unto them, “Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Matthew 15:29-39; 16:1-12 Mark 7:31-37; 8:1-21
“1The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. 2He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. 3And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs...
this cold rain
has my asthma on full-tilt. hate it! mostly because i can’t get outside to run/longboard/train parkour and my family lives way too far from the beach to drive out for a surf session. WACK
on the upside, i can spend more time in Bible study and prayer; and this is ALWAYS a good thing.
